ORCA FAQ:
How many ORCA's were there used for the production of JAWS?

Answer: 2 full boats, one break away section, and a stern section for close up SPFX work.

-------

Orca 1- The 'original' working boat used for principal photography during scenes requiring a moving, floating boat. It was later destroyed or removed from the USH back lot.

Orca 2- The stunt boat fiberglass copy of Orca 1 used for all the sinking and destruction scenes near the end of the film. Was abandoned off the coast of MV and now in pieces on collectors shelves worldwide.
